Born and raised in Paris, France, Elizabeth speaks fluent French and English as well as conversational Spanish and some Italian. She has recently been selected as a 2019 US Presidential Scholar. She was also awarded the opportunity to be a Gene Researcher (GRFAW) by the Canadian Institute of Health Research at the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics. She is involved in Open Science Network, Vancouver’s Community Biolab and was a Yale Young Global Scholar in Biological and Biomedical Sciences. In October 2018, she presented a workshop at the 2018 Global Community Bio Summit at MIT Media Lab.
She recently created a liquid lead Test Pen designed to perfectly fill the bubbles on the standardized test answer sheets, and built a 3D printer, which she used to make the prototype.
Elizabeth is extensively involved in the performing arts. She has been playing classical violin for fourteen years as well as singing and acting professionally since she was nine. She performed the role of Louise in the world premiere of the new orchestration of “Sunday in the Park with George” in Paris, France, where she had the honor of meeting and performing for Stephen Sondheim. She serves as the Social Director of Mensa Canada’s BC Chapter and has been a member of Mensa since the age of 10. She is the Concertmaster of her school’s orchestra and serves as Captain of both her school’s Concert and Chamber Choirs which performed at Carnegie Hall in Spring 2019.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys building with Arduino, loves to sew and bake and is an avid abstract nature photographer*.
